"Exploring the Colombian Amazon Rainforest: Documentaries, Photographs, and Community Stories"
Friday, January 17, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend a special evening at Novà, the first youth center in Novara, located in the revitalized spaces of the former Caserma Passalacqua.
The event took us to the heart of the Colombian Amazon Rainforest, exploring local communities and their territories through the unique perspective of Novara-based photographer and journalist Vittoria Lorenzetti.
During the evening, Vittoria presented her documentary and photo exhibition "Como el agua del Río", an intense and authentic project born from passionate and meticulous fieldwork. This initiative was made possible thanks to the support of Alessandro Ciccolo from WildAmazon Colombia, another talented individual from Novara, whose expertise and dedication contributed to making this project extraordinary.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event possible, where distant cultures and territories come together to inspire, raise awareness, and share stories that deserve to be heard.
